Check out yesterday’s post to read about Step 1 of my face care routine.
After washing my face and letting it dry, I apply toner to brighten my skin, reduce puffy eyes, and generally freshen up my face. It’s an important step in skin care routine and I’ve noticed a big difference in my face since I’ve been using this regularly.
I use lavender in my toner but you can use any EO that’s good for your skin, including Frankincense, Purification, Lemon, and many others! I like Lavender because it’s soothing and smells amazing. I use Frank and Purification in my face wash and moisturizer so I don’t feel the need to add it to my toner. I ingest a good amount of Lemon, also, so I feel like my bases are covered. Use what you want!
To make my homemade toner, I drop 15 drops of Lavender in a large roller container. I think my roller holds an ounce. (You can use any container for this but I like a roller because it’s convenient!) Then I top it off with alcohol-free witch hazel. I simply roll it all over my face and rub in well with my fingers.
Once that dries, I move on to Step 3! Come back tomorrow for the details!
DISCLAIMER: The things I share with you are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any illness or be a substitute for any medicine. It is true that I have found less need for OTC medicines, but you have to make choices that are right for your family. Another choice I’ve made is to exclusively use Young Living Essential Oils. I believe they are 100% pure without any synthetic additives. That’s huge to me! I have read a lot of material on different essential oil companies and Young Living is what I have chosen. If you choose to use essential oils, I encourage you to do some research and choose the brand that you believe in.
