Linking up with LifeRearranged!
Only one picture to share this week…sad!
But it’s a good one because it comes with a story!
Here’s the timeline leading up to this picture:
Thursday, 3:00 a.m. *Wake up from a dream about snakes in the carport/porch and stay awake for an hour.
11:00 a.m. *See a relative post pictures on Facebook of a snake wrapped around her porch railing.
11:50 a.m. *Show Cody those Facebook pictures while on our way home for lunch.
11:51 a.m. *Say to my husband, “I guess that’s what we have to look forward to this summer…more snakes.”
11:52 a.m. *Pull into the carport, open the driver’s side car door, and see this:
NO JOKE. (P.S. Don’t mind my unswept carport.) (Do people sweep their carports?) (Do people expect me to sweep mine?) (Oh, the humanity!)
This is an Eastern King Snake. (I had no idea and had to google it from my phone from inside the car.)
They are not venomous and are a benefit to have around so we politely “encouraged” him to slither away so we could step up on the porch without startling him.
So tell me – does everyone have snakes at their houses? This is maybe the 5th one I’ve seen in the wild in my whole life.
